The recorder contains a song recorded by his grandmother, which his ailing grandfather wishes to hear one last time. Frustrated by the police's lack of interest in the case, Pritam loses his temper and is briefly taken into custody. Noticing Pedro's struggle with the ATM robbery investigation, Pritam offers to help, marking the beginning of an unlikely partnership.
Later, Pedro is transferred from the Crime Branch to the Cyber Cell following an altercation. The transfer leaves him disappointed, as he is unfamiliar with modern technology and hopes to return to his previous department. To earn his way back, he is given a challenge: solve three Cyber Cell cases successfully.
Accepting the challenge, Pedro seeks Pritam's assistance, and the two begin investigating a case involving the same official. They learn that the official's son, Vinny, is believed to have been kidnapped. However, as the investigation progresses, they discover that the situation is part of a larger scheme orchestrated by a highly skilled hacker named Martin (Vikrant Massey).
Vinny has become involved in Martin's online challenge, unknowingly giving the hacker access to detailed information about his home. It is also revealed that Martin shares a personal connection with Vinny's family, which explains why he specifically targets them.
Pedro soon realizes that his late son, Leo, had also been affected by the same online challenge. The tragedy deeply impacted his family and eventually led to his separation from his wife. As Pedro and Pritam close in on Martin, the hacker unexpectedly reveals Pritam's real name, Kabir.
The revelation shocks Pritam (Vir Hirani). It is then disclosed that Martin is the son of a professor whose life had crossed paths with Kabir's in the past. Following those events, Martin adopted his hacker identity for revenge while Kabir changed his own name to Pritam and erased his digital footprint, setting the stage for the story's central mystery.
In the climax, Pritam finally catches up with Martin. However, after discovering that Vinny was never actually kidnapped and had been hiding inside a water tank with a survival kit, he chooses not to reveal Martin's whereabouts and even keeps the truth from Pedro.
In the end, Pedro is unable to complete his challenge, with another officer receiving the credit for finding Vinny. Wanting to help Pedro rebuild his family, Pritam records him singing his grandmother's song and sends it to Pedro's wife, Stacey, as a heartfelt gesture. The moment helps bring the couple back together.
In a touching final twist, Stacey is revealed to have once been a student of Pritam's grandmother. She sings the same song and records it for Pritam's grandfather, allowing him to hear his late wife's voice through the familiar melody one final time.
Meanwhile, Martin, no longer being actively pursued, quietly returns the money to his former girlfriend before moving on.
